| The limeworks along the ridge at Cults Hill in Fife goes back to medieval times. By the Victorian era there were extensive limestone mines serving draw kilns. This bank of three kilns was refaced in 1937 and the rebuilding is ascribed to Cochrane of Cults, the family owning the land in the area. | |
